A Beezy Birthday and a Sneak Peek of CHS
Hey 29, how are ya? It’s me, beezy b. Phew, looks like I'm entering the last year of my 20’s! wow, wow. Let’s make it a good one.
How was my birthday? Thanks for asking. It was fab and fantastic. Despite my pleas to please leave my desk just as is, my coworkers transformed it into quite the “birthday bomb” with streamers hanging from the ceiling and confetti galore. everywhere. They also gave me the most adorable card, with a bejeweled “party time” on the front, and the BEST personalized messages inside from the entire crew. Lots and lots of mentions to have a “wholly" good time [punny, guys] and enjoy future biking adventures on the lake shore trail with white lightning. They know me well.
And then, aw, the best was still yet to come. I recieved a gorg flower bouquet from my BF. It made my desk look like a lil springtime garden even though it was a cold, rainy, and snowy [wtf] day. I felt like a queen! Hail to the b.
Then after work he took me to dinner at Beatnik. We enjoyed the most delicious meal, sharing plates of baba ghanoush, hollumi cheese, a fattoush salad and ending with rabbit arepa. I sipped on a smokey mezcal drinkie.
We ate, we drank and we enjoyed the scene. Beatnik is a beautifully decorated restaurant with wax-dripping candelabrums, lush greenery [inside!] and lavish chandeliers. Ohmeegee, the chandeliers are just to die for.
I could not have asked for a better birthday. 29 is feelin’ good.
Then, shortly after my birthday, we took a highly anticipated trip to Charleston. We booked the tickets back in January... so. long. ago.
I'm finishing up this post while we're still in Charleston. Ha, no time to waste! We still have ONE more day here, and it's been a blast! I'm so excited to share what we've been up to for the past few days. To sum it up... delicious eats, bevies, and a day hike in Congaree National Park. Many deets to come in future posts.
